The village of Wamel at the mouth of the River Möhne offers a wide range of tourist attractions.

Berghof, Blumenhof, Wunschhof and Schultenhof are all old farms worth seeing. The historic Kanzelbrücke bridge provides a connection to the southern bank of the Möhne. In summer, the "Uferlos" lido is a meeting place for sun worshippers.

Accommodation and restaurants are available directly on the lake.
If you are traveling from Haarstrang towards Wamel, you will come across the "Fern-Seh-En-De" marker by Stephan Lawson. From its vantage point, there is a unique view of the Möhnetal. A bench invites you to linger.
