Anniversary plaques at the entrance to the village tell of the life and living conditions of the people in the Möhnetal.
Among the sights of Günne are the dam wallthe neo-Gothic parish church of St. Anthony the Hermit, the late medieval Chapel of the Resurrection and the memorial to the fallen soldiers of the two world wars and the victims of the Möhne catastrophe. The wide range of sports, leisure and recreational facilities are used by locals and visitors alike. Vacation apartments and houses as well as a guesthouse offer various accommodation options.
The Günner Heuer (Günne shepherd) in the village is well worth a visit. The church forecourt also invites you to linger with a great view of the dam wall and the "Bank am Westenberg" offers a great view over the beginning Sauerland.
