On the MöhnetalRadweg, touring cyclists can experience the northern Sauerland away from the climbs. Initially on former railroad lines, later along the northern shore of the Möhnesee, this cycle path connects Brilon and Arnsberg-Neheim in a very pleasant way.

The Möhnesee is one of the largest reservoirs in North Rhine-Westphalia. This tour leads along the northern shore and offers pure nature. The view over the lake from the imposing, 100-year-old dam wall is particularly beautiful.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
The north bank tour along the Möhnesee can also be ridden as a circular tour in combination with the MöhnetalRadweg.
The 65-kilometre Möhnetalradweg connects the old Hanseatic town of Brilon, the source of the Möhne, with its mouth into the Ruhr in Arnsberg-Neheim.
For stage tours with an overnight stay, the Möhnetalradweg can be combined with the GeoRadroute from Brilon.
