Hike to the sound forest at the Möhnesee

We cross the bridge, come to the Delecke-Süd parking lot and leave the B 229 there, turning left as we continue straight ahead on the paved path marked "A 7". Via the "Naturpromenade", which always runs along the banks of the dam, we come to the "Torhaus" inn on the B 229 (235 m; 60 min.). The "Klangwald" trail begins here with 10 interesting sound sculptures. Behind the inn we turn right, now with the sign "A 4". Here we also meet the Sauerland-Waldroute, which leads from Iserlohn to Marsberg. However, we soon leave the wide, paved path again and, continuing to follow "A 4", ascend to the left to the "Rennweg": (27 5 m; 25 min.), the main hiking route "X 26" of the Sauerland Mountain Club, which connects Neheim Hüsten with Paderborn and leads over the northern ridge of the Arnsberg Forest. The signs guide us to the left and along the Kammweg to "Torhaus" and the B 229, which we cross again (235 m; 20 min.). We leave the "X 26" here, which follows the main road to the left. We continue straight ahead on the Höhenweg, now marked "A6". Where this turns left, we come to "A 2", continue straight ahead and where this sign points us to the right together with "A 1", downhill back into the Möhnetal and to the Delecke-Süd parking lot. Cross the bridge to return to our starting point on the north bank of the Möhne dam (40 min.).
