Körbecke, with a population of just under 5,000, is the central town and state-approved resort of the municipality of Möhnesee with its administrative headquarters, municipal administration, tourist information office, varied range of restaurants and numerous shopping opportunities.

Sights include the Pankratius church, the old half-timbered Stockebrand house and one of the longest pedestrian bridges in Europe. The riverside promenade, bathing and boat moorings, the Möhne shipping company, surfing and sailing schools and a small indoor swimming pool are also among the attractions. Hiking and cycling trails attract visitors from near and far. Restaurants invite you to enjoy and linger. There is always something going on in Körbecke: guests are invited to the farmers' market, antique and flea markets, carnival, marksmen's festival, Bavarian and bridge festivals, triathlon and FeierAbend am See. Hospitable hotel rooms, family-friendly vacation apartments, cozy guesthouses and a campsite offer accommodation of all kinds.

The Seepark, which was created as part of the Regionale 2013, has created a new connection between the center of Körbecke and the Möhnesee. Orange and blue stones have been set into the sidewalk to guide visitors. These show the way from the town center to the water (blue) and from the water back to the town (orange) with different images.

The lake park offers numerous opportunities for activities, including a playground for different age groups, mini and adventure golf, a skate park and various play areas, such as a basketball court. Above the lakeside park, there is a hidden object map that lets you discover the entire municipality of Möhnesee.

If you follow the lakeside promenade from the lake park towards the pedestrian bridge, you will quickly find your way to the Möhnesee tower. The 40-metre-high observation tower is located in Körbecke on the southern shore in the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park.
